Black Bear Hunts

Private land bear hunts are offered through the entire month of September with a 100% success rate. Bears can usually be found most parts of the day in the oak brush located in the creek bottoms. This hunt is one of the easiest hunts we offer as most scouting is done by side x side and the stalk is usually less than a mile with shots ranging from 100-200 yards.

Public hunts take place during the 4 rifle seasons and can be quite the challenge as we will ride half a day into some of the largest and roughest drainages the Sangre De Cristos have to offer. From there, we will set up a base camp about a mile from our spotting locations. From that point the stalk will all be done on foot . Most shots will be taken from 200+ yards.
